Second Stimulus Check Update in 3 minutes

A second stimulus check for $1,200 won’t be immediate. Here’s what we know about Round 2.

Unemployment is on the rise,  the US Bureau of Labor reported that nearly 40 million Americans sought unemployment benefits in the past 10 weeks, and the first wave of economic checks is winding down. Talks of a second stimulus check seem as they are temporarily on pause.

With nearly 40 million people that applied for unemployment insurance in the last 10 weeks that’s telling that many people are out there hurting financially.  Trying to make ends meet.  People are wondering how they are going to keep food on the table, keep the lights on, and how they are going to make it through.  There are a lot of people who are scared right now.  And it doesn’t help that our politicians are playing politics during a time of crisis.

The goal of a second stimulus round is the same as the first: To help keep a shaky US economy from crashing.  The Senate, which is currently in recess, they left Washington without putting the Heroes Act on the agenda, so it isn’t certain what will happen.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is predicting if there is another stimulus package, it won’t be as big as the last one and if there is another one it will be the last.  McConnell said that we could anticipate the decision being made on whether to go forward with a stimulus in about a month.

To the 40 million plus that are currently unemployed:  You’ve been in situations where you thought you’d never make it out, but you did.  You’ve lived through it.  You learned from it, You survived.  So whatever it is that you’re currently going through right now, you’ll get through that too.  Believe it.

Whether democrat, republician, or independent … to contact the offices of your senators and representatives in the U.S. Congress and tell them your stance on this issue.  I am going to provide a link in the description below to find out who represents you in Congress, what bills they have sponsored, and how they voted.

Any second stimulus package that passes both the House and the Senate would still need a signature from President Trump before it could take effect. I’ll update this story with new information as it arises, so make sure you subscribe
